This series of pages was created by Rachel Rein as an assignment
for my Spring 1999 semester Digital Storytelling class at UC Berkeley.

A description of the assignment follows:

Web Project Description

Each student will create a series of web pages on the subject of
"Your room". You can define your room however you want. It can
be the room you live in/sleep in or it could be another room in
your home. It could even be a fictional room.

You are going to tell a story that revolves around that room.
It could be about the objects in that room and what significance
they have. It could be about an event that takes place in that room.
It could be about what you do in that room. It could be an
archaeology of that pile of dirty clothes. You decide.

Our goal is to take these individual pieces and weave them together
into one web site.

The class has a variety of levels of experience in web development.
Take this opportunity to try out something new for you and to
challenge yourself at your own level.

Each project must include the following:

- Minimum of six pages (a page could be one sentence or many paragraphs)
A paper version of the text would cover roughly 3 typewritten pages.
- Each page should include at least one image
- Each project includes minimum of 9 internal links (ie. links
	within your series of pages)
- Each project includes minimum of 1 external link
- Use of image maps

You can use What You See Is What You Get web authoring software
like Pagemill, Navigator Gold, Front Page, Cyberstudio, or
Dreamweaver. Or you can create it from Hypertext.
