Rachel's Daily Diary
11 51 pm pst [ the red bucket ] My father has been a lawyer for more than thirty years. Tonight my borther, father, and I had dinner with another family (mother, father, and son). When my brother and I arrived at the house, we looked at the windchimes. My brother said, "they're such a family." I knew what he meant. Married parents. Homey home. Things we didn't know very well. |

I called this entry the red bucket because I was going to tell a story about one, but I cannot muster the energy.

Images of the dust dance I recorded earlier and wrote about on the second. |

Matthew woke me today in the middle of a dream about finding a wicked stash of jadeite for my mother. I told him I was grouchy. I stayed grouchy. I was iritated by him whenever he was around me. I was relieved when he left -- going to San Diego for the weekend. I lent him the car I had borrowed from my mother. I won't mind being house bound. I wish I hadn't felt that way, but there it was. He gets irritated with me often, but we refer to that phenomenon as "too much Rachel". I almost never get pissy. And now I get a little break -- without even having to ask for it. I hope I recover quickly. I want to be happy. |

"I sit beside my lonely fire and pray for wisdom yet: for calmness to remember or courage to forget." -- Charles Hamilton Aide "Arguments are like fire-arms which a man may keep at home but should not carry about with him." -- Samuel Butler (1612-1680) "Fantasies are more than substitutes for unpleasant reality; they are also dress rehearsals, plans. All acts performed in the world begin in the imagination." -- Barbara G. Harrison "A dress makes no sense unless it inspires men to want to take it off you." -- Françoise Sagan (b. 1935) |

First I searched for "fire" then I searched for "dress" in a searchable quote database. I searched for fire because I was watching an arson episode of X-Files. I don't know where dress came from. I found the quote database from a link at Random Snash. I found Random Snash in my refer logs, as someone hit my site with it. Randomizers are a bit like gambling, but there is nothing to lose. * * * |
