8 02 pm pst   [ with something ]

I have definitely come down with something. Jane, to my delight, came by again, and because I didn't have a lot of energy, we watched a movie (Crimson Tide). Matthew and absolute peach and made dinner for us. He even minced raw garlic into my pasta sauce and gave it a scrumptious bite.

I mostly spent the day poking around the house with my camera.

Matthew doesn't particularly like me to photograph him, but he just looked so relaxed sipping his beer on the couch...

I drink a lot of tea. I hated when I was younger, but now I have grown quite fond of the hot, soothing liquid.

I was making tea (Earl Grey with tons of honey) for Matthew and I. Steve said he wanted some, but I knew there would only be enough water for two cups. I told him he'd have to wait, or for twenty bucks I'd give him Matthew's cup. He drew me "twenty steveolions" [he is quite the artist]. He had to wait.

My favorite images were a glove by a succulent, two kinds of green on the windowsill, and the ice in my glass. There is something so satisfying when an image turns out just as one set out to capture it.
