8 48 pm pdt   [ graduation 1 ]

Only I would propose going to Chevys and not realize it was Cinco de Mayo. Matthew's flight in from Berkeley, but margaritas and fajitas made everything better.

Only in LA can you buy organic breath mints. They are actually quite tasty [the brand is called Speakeasy]. I gave one to everyone when Matthew and I met his family at the pre-graduation reception last night.

His sister's graduation today went perfectly. It was followed by a scrumptious lunch on the patio at Baja Cantina. You should have heard the gasps when they announced "Kim, party of 25, your table is ready."

The only downfall is that I got a major sunburn. This wouldn't be so bad, but my sunglasses kept the bridge of my nose plucked-chicken white while the rest of my face turned lobster red. Contrast in skin color is a bad thing.

It's so nice seeing my peach, even if only for such a short time. I am looking forward to going up to visit for his graduation.

As for yesterday's job vote, Matthew said that no one would want to say "think with your wallet" and I was skewing the vote. This may very well be true; I think I really want this job. Twice as many people said to take it as opposed passing it up, but absolutely everyone who included a comment had an insightful and valid point. This is a rather nice dilema to have, since it feels like a win-win situation.

two years ago today: "I love watching the semester draw to a close."

one year ago today: "The last day of classes in my undergraduate career came and went without notice and now I am on to finishing up a few projects (including the dreaded thesis) and preparing for graduation, which is in less than a week."
