4 03 pm pdt   [ goose stopper ]

We have returned to our room after a morning of filmming Wesak and an afternoon of filmming Mt. Shasta in the snow. This trip is non-stop laughter, but my compatriots don't need to eat as often as I, and that is trying my patience.

As we drove to our conference this morning, Tita announced the glory of Mount Shasta and insisted that we stop to take pictures. It was beautiful indeed. After the cameraman set up, I grabbed a few shots of my own.

John is one of those silent types who is hard to read, so I have no idea if he thought I was annoying or interesting. He was kind enough to answer all of my incesant questions, especially about his diabeties.

It was fun to go tromping around in the snow in the middle of the day, especially after being cooped up at the conference for a few hours. There are several crews filmming there, including one from the Dicovery Channel, and I was amused to learn that every one of us is from LA.

While we were filmming the mountain, we spotted a bunch of geese. When we got near them, they all ran away. Tita wanted a shot of them (she wants a lot of nature shots as filler for the show). I began making quaking sounds, and they all stopped and began turning around (probably wondering what kind of ill bird I was). When I would stop, they would begin running again, but every time I made my call, the would freeze. I have the power to stop geese in their tracks!

two years ago today: "I have had the pleasure of staying in all day today. This is the first day I can remember this semester that my calendar has been completely free."

one year ago today: I didn't write because I fell asleep at 6 pm and slept through till the morning.
