10 14 pm pdt [ contracts ]
Rachel signed a freelance contract yesterday, for
continuing graphic work on the new age
show she has been writing for. She thought she was only going to have
a few things to do, but by the end of the day (after meeting with the
editor and director/producer), she is doing the credits, opening logo, and
most of the graphics work. She made the director/producer promise not to
give her any more work, but now she is swamped with freelance work for the
month.
She also signed a second contract, accepting the job she has been debating taking.
She faxed it out today. It makes her a little queasy to think about it.
She has been taking a lot of deep breaths. She will be employed full time
(without benefits) starting on June 12th.
It occurs to Rachel that she will be making nearly
twice as much, on a monthly basis, doing freelance work as opposed to her
office job. Now that's ironic.
