10 14 pm pdt [ elementary school ]
Well, my body actually listened, and I woke up this
morning feeling perfectly healthy. That was the strangest and shortest
illness I've ever had...
In elementary school we used to repeat things we had
heard without knowing their meaning; jokes that made fun of certain ethnic
groups graced our lips without our understanding. I remember saying,
"Isn't it ironic that Madonna sings Like a Virgin?" I'm sure I had no
idea why it was ironic. Or if I had some vague sense, I still didn't
really understand. I wonder how quips like that get started and I wonder
why kinds pass them one when they so often go over their heads.
I worked out like crazy today, making my arms very
tired with my 9 pound weights. I did an exercize for my lats which I have
never done before and which will no doubt make me very sore tomorrow.

his grades. I don't mind waiting another week till I can call and get
them by phone or on the web with my GPA calculated and everything."

office when I was little was getting to alphabetize files."
