11 39 am pdt [ packing ]
My time with my sister has slipped through my fingers,
though she will be back in LA (along with my brother) the week after I return from New
Orleans. Today was supposed to be spent together, but she has taken off
with my dad, and neither has left me any clue where they are or when they
will return, so I am dedicating myself to packing.
Our booth uniforms are black Henley shirts with our
company logo strategically positioned on the the left breast, and khakis.
The marketing guy was specific enough to elaborate that he meant khaki as
a color, not as a style. Of course, he doesn't really mean the true olive
green of khaki, but rather the lighter tan shades which everyone now calls
khaki. I had to go buy some after work on friday, having nothing
resembling corporate wear anywhere in my wardrobe. I don't think I will
be getting much use out of these pants, so I bought them at the cheapest
store I could think of. They are designed for real woman, so they are cut
generously in the hips and waist and they don't come anywhere close to
fitting me. Such is life.
