9 49 pm cdt   [ set-up and practice ]

The conference officially begins tomorrow at 10 am, so today was our final set-up and practice day. We are allowed to wear sneakers with our booth uniforms, but even so I call tell my feet are going to be sore and tired every day. It is a twenty minute jaunt from our hotel room to the show floor, which means everyone is already a bit tired and hot by the time they arrive.

I don't find the heat horribly oppressive, and I find the humidity in Florida to be worse, but it is toasty here. July certainly isn't the best month for visiting New Orleans for the first time, but I intend to make the most of it. Matthew and I are off to see if we can find an Italian restaurant, because I'm craving pasta, and I am not a huge fan of the local cuisine.
