_________________ 8 15 pm pdt [ dear pie ] Peach Pie, For just a minute today, as I walked from [parent company] to [my company], I felt this job was cool. I'm bored, but it's not bad, and [my boss] has been super nice to me lately. She brought back a little brochure from the super market on some vegan bread she saw. That was so thoughtful... I think this weekend will be weird. Alexandra and her mum have the most beautiful house I've ever seen. It is so cozy and lived in and organized. You'll have to see the inside some time. I will be taking care of her two cats, which I've never done before. Now I can see if I like cats. I'm going to try to do a lot of Margatisha stuff, take walks and pictures, and see my mum. I have decided to go to the BBQ at [my boss] and [her husband]'s house on Sunday. I hope you don't mind long e-mails, since I can't write you letters. Perhaps I'll publish them in my diary. I'm going to try to go on a little image-taking frenzy this weekend, and will be throwing that stuff up too. I miss you oodles, even though you haven't left the state yet. I can't wait for our European adventure...
Love,
Hi Peachkins, The cats looked at me like I was nuts when I first arrived. Then they gave me a sniff and a rub. They have a fish bowl (sans fish) on the coffee table that they drink out of. Fetch (whom Alexandra calls Bee-Bee) came up and butted my hand to get me to pet him. Then they chased each other around. Now they are ignoring me... My dad told me Rebecca was in a car accident today. I got a chance to talk to her for a long time this evening. Her friend was driving her to school, and apparently a semi pulled out in front of them. The friend is fine and Rebecca is too, except she hurt her neck and she has burns from the seat belt. She thinks she passed out at the moment of the accident. The hood of the car got wedged under the semi and the car was completely totalled. I'm so glad she's ok. I hate hearing her talking about the fact that she could of died. Fourteen-year-olds just shouldn't have those thoughts. The good thing is that she thinks her friend handled the situation really well; she thinks her friend may have saved her life, which is much better than the standard reaction of blaming the driver. I'm going to call her again tomorrow.
