it's all good. today is an especially slow day, as [our program] is completely broken... I found a recipe for homemade granola, in case you want to try making your own some time. I have a half finished message for you sitting on my machine at home. will send asap...

Hi lover pie,
Do you want me to skip bringing my camera since you now have one? That will be one less thing to worry about, but do let me know if you want it and I will bring it. I know I'm gonna play with your camera a bunch!

I'm glad you got your head shaved by someone. I think you should do that regularly. Having my head shampooed is relaxing, but I've never done it before a cut; I only get it washed if I'm going to have it french braided.

I talked [the marketing guy] into giving me some database work, since anything is better than sitting on my hands. [Our new program] is completely broken, so today I am drawing in [our old program]... I'm hungry, so I'm off to lunch...

          Love,
          Rachel

here's what I wrote you yesterday:

Monday, 6 30 pm

Dearest Pie,
The G is home, and stuffing me with food. She's currently sitting with a hyper Boo-Boo on the porch. There was a 5.2 earthquake in Napa, so I gave your roomies a call. It wasn't very big in Berkeley, but it was Steve's first eathquake, so he was excited. He said he's seeing Mary Jane every weekend! I also talked to the Tomvo for a long time, until he abruptly said the coals were ready and he was hungry. He's a strange man; he says nothing is new and exciting, as always...

Today I was either spontaneous or frivolous. I got a digital still camera since I have no camera and haven't since the last one I killed. I have a way of killing cameras in dramatic ways. The most recent one plummeted to its death drowning in the bottom of a pit toilet in Big Sur.

At any rate the pictures it takes are not bad, it does 1600x1200 and connetcts directly via USB. So it fulfills all my requirements and eliminates that pesky film idea.

I have therefore been elected to take booth pictures. This is part of the problem with your boss knowing whatever it is that you are up to...

The reality of how much I need to do before the show opens is settling in. If Rachel were here she would calm me down however since she is not I will have to make do with the vitamin B-100 that I found today in a nearby drug store. The drug store was interesting since they carry homeopathic and traditional remedies side by side. Kinda cool I think.

Before I got the camera we were shopping for shoes for Jason. I made a remark to the effect that every young person I had seen the day before was dressed impossibly stylishly but judging by the stores you can't buy any clothing that isn't impossibly stylish.

How Rachel does this on a day to day basis is beyond me...I am completely exhausted from the day's work and will quit and wait for my room service pizza.... and yes I had room service yesterday as well... adventure will have to wait for work to get easier or for Rachel to arrive.
