Hey cutser totser,
How are you doing today? Why are you the cutest man ever? I can't believe you called me yesterday when you couldn't sleep. I'm sure some people would find being awake at 4:30 in the morning in Amsterdam an exciting prospect, but I know you're just being a stress monster about work. I love that you make things up to worry about if life doesn't present anything. Your code is coming along great and Jason loves you. If I were there I'd rub your neck and tell you everything is fine.

I went to the studio to meet with Margatisha last night. I'm going to have to haul butt to get everything done, but it's coming together nicely. I will be rather busy in the evenings for the next two weeks...

Jane wrote and said that my entry about you coming down for a surprise visit made her and her friend cry. She wrote, "Matthew's such a sweetie. You should keep him forever." I'm in full agreement.

Dan, whom I met at [My boss] and [her husband]'s party, e-mailed me today. He's sucha doll, and I have no doubt we shall communicate back and forth often. He made fun of me for all of my silly nicknames for you. He writes Renderman shaders for a living, so I'll have to grill him on how hard that will be to learn.

I've found a new diversion at work. While working on [the new program] today, I have dedicated myself to listening to all of the comedy selections available on the server. I enjoyed Abbot and Costello and am now on track 18 of Adam Sandler. Tim recommends Dennis Leary, but I'm going in alphabetical order (by first name), so Andrew Dice Clay is next. There are 24 different artists in all.

I had Thai spring rolls for lunch. They were yummy, and made me think of how many times I dragged you to Racha and King Yen. You are so good to me. I miss you oodles...

I don't know exactly when the conference starts and ends, as well as when you are off to Sweden and Denmark, so if you get a chance to fill me in, I would really appreciate it. Take some scrumptious pictures for me, and e-mail the panorama of your room when you get a chance. I look forward to hearing from you so very much...

          Love,
                    Rachel (your potato totser)

PS: I dreamt about sex for the third time in my life last night. I woke up hungry for you...

I am tired...JAVA all day and really with no more than an hour of good sleep.

Major progess was made however I did not get much time outside of the hotel. Besides which it was pouring a good portion of the afternoon.

Most of the rest of my colleagues arrived today and this place is loosing some of its national distinction as more and more nerds from everywhere come flocking into the city.

Unfortunately I found out that the only F1 race while I am here is this Sunday and in Italy....hmmm I wonder how I could be deathly ill during the middle of the show and still manage to get to the Italian Gand Prix?....

Good evening lover,

I had a wonderfully stuffing Japanese dinner with Charles. He told the chef that I didn't like seaweed and I was vegetarian and challenged him to make me something. I had pickled dikon and eggplant rolled in soypaper and served sashimi style. This was in addition to veggie tempura, sake, and perfectly tender soybeans. It was delicious. Everything was delicious.

Work was ok today. Randy is taking off two weeks to do roto work on the Sabrina the Teenage Witch tv show. He said his good-byes today. So now it's just me and the ladies. Tim and I are communicating on a whole new level now that we have comedy to discuss. He cracks me up. My new goal is to get him to wear his shirt untucked one day.

I'm dreamy (from driving with Charles) and drowsy (from saké) and missing you like there's no tomorrow. It has just dawned on me that I will be joining you next weekend. This weekend I'm going to have Karina over for hiking and spending the night. It should be quite the adventure, as always....

          Love,
                    Rachel
