From: Matthew hello my little potato i am unfortunately sick....fortunately in theory i am only working from 10-2 for the remainder of the show...however currently i am up at 7am trying to help solve a problem not related to my code but related to the demo. hopefully i will just get lots of sleep and orange juice and be ok... we need to start making a plan as to when we will visit Rudy (at least) so that we don't sort of rudely barge in without notice...but i am happy if you are if you don't want to plan anything else... <GuestEntry edition="6"> I did have a wonderful Tibetan meal with a group of Rachel's co-workers last night. However after dinner we were about 10 blocks from my hotel and it was pouring and we couldn't find a cab for a long time. I think that running around in the rain without a jacket was (besides stupid) the last straw for my immune system. Well off to work on Saturday.... Speaking of which, NO trade show needs to last 5 days. If one is even
slightly organized one can see what they came to see easily within 3 days.
OK, no more ranting.
And he is sick. My poor baby called me at work today. It was midnight his time, and he was both exhausted and ill. He said that talking to me made him happy; that warmed me heart. Rudy is a family friend who lives in Germany. He's allowing us to stay with him for whichever days we want. Matthew knows I'm not up for planning when we are where. I miss him so much. When I arrive home from work, my very first thought is to call him. Sometimes I reach for the phone before I go to bed, then I remember... When I return from Europe I am going to start hunting for a new job. I think I ought to move up north and give living with Matthew a try. We are trying to settle on a city to look in: Mountain View, Los Gatos, Sunnyvale, Berkeley, San Francisco... My dad recommends San Francisco, which I think would be fun, but Matthew would love to stay in Berkeley, which I am not too excited about. I have a sudden renewed interest in my family tree, and will no doubt obsessively delve back into my research. I'm off to my mom's house for the weekend... |
