i stayed home from work today, still sick from Friday. I'm sure hiking yesterday exacerbated it, and I don't want to go in if I'm still contagious...

Someone called this morning and asked to speak to the plant manager. I couldn't help but laugh when I told them they had the wrong number.

Having delved back into my genealogical research, I have just discovered the names of my great great great grandparents. They were married in Hessen, Germany (I believe in Kassel), and I am working on trying to find out if I can get a copy of their marriage cert from around 1840. Would you mind if we did the tiniest bit of research while there?

Are you all done being sick? When do you leave Amsterdam? I love you...

i hope that your margatisha stuff is going well and making you happy...

yesterday i got a few good compliments from upper management on my software...the director of engineering for our group (jason's boss's boss...) said it was really great stuff and congratulations...to which i said something like...thank you and i hope i get the chance to do some more similar things...to which he said...oh you will you will (in a sort of menacing tone)...uh oh...

i had dinner with a bunch of big whigs from the team yesterday...it was really good and only a few thousand guilders for the lot of us ;)

today is tear down which is always the longest day on the planet...and unfortunately unlike siggraph its a full tradeshow day before the teardown so we will likely be there late into the evening....

i love and miss you a thousand and will be in touch with you as much as possible
