I took the subway to the City Hall exit, planning on
going to the municipal archives, which turned out to close early on
Fridays. I elected to wander about, into the Supreme Court and by City
Hall. I enjoyed the patterns that abounded on the silent giants squatting
on the street and inviting passers-by to step into their hungry mouths.
It was chilly and I longed for California -- hoping the rain has stopped
by now...
