If you happen to be in the Bay Area, may I
highly recommend catching a film at The Paramount Theatre. Last night
Matthew and I were delighted to discover how much entertainment one can
get for $5, as we saw American Graffiti (1973).
On our way home last night, someone threw a baseball or
softball at our car and it smacked loudly into the windshield directly in
front of my face. I was startled and Matthew refused to stop for dinner
anywhere near where the incident had occurred.
After my exceptionally long walk and respite in the
rose garden yesterday, I did the same today. I was joined by Matthew
after he watched the qualifying run of Formula One. The boys in the house have purchased digital cable for
the sole purpose of watching one channel: SpeedVision.
After chattering away in the garden, we walked down
towards Safeway and went to the local travel store, where we purchased
maps for our next European adventure. Matthew is taking a business trip
in May to Neuchâtel, Switzerland and we are going to try to
squeeze in some vacation time afterwards, as we did last September.
Matthew is sleeping soundly beside me -- he has been
for hours already. I'm going to read for a bit and join him.
