Matthew has said the suite here can only be described
as "fatty-boom-batty". I feel that is an accurate assertion. Negotiating
the airport was ok, but I ran into someone whom I knew, and I had not a
clue what her name was.
Vegas will probably never cease to amaze me with its
ever-present sense of otherworldliness. It began in the airport, with
light bulb rimmed signs and wildly patterned carpet.
I took a shuttle to the hotel, then called Matthew on a
payphone from the lobby. He met me by the fountain in a matter of
minutes. Then we dropped off my stuff, headed to the show floor,
left to grab some food, and then headed back to the show floor. Setting
up a trade show is even less thrilling that it sounds, and I feel so
seasoned at it that I hardly take notice unless I make myself.
I looked in the program, but my former company doesn't
have a booth, so I'll be sticking close to Matthew the whole time. His
roommate Peter is a blast, and his co-worker Dan has agreed to go dancing
with me!
