There were 15 competitors, some of them quite fierce and all of them exceedingly creative. Some strategized to win in a certain competition, while others made transformer cars with adjustable wheels of flippable bodies.

The competitors were:

with beauty contest winning car, which Matthew named "the disco shrubbery mobile"...

with an orange-visored car well built for speed [and whom Matthew said looked too wholesome to have gone to UC Berkeley]...

with her wonderful travelling garden, which managed to keep all of its flowers onboard throughout the races...

with a fantastic red and black car that morphed shape for different competitions...

with a car that creatively used satellite dishes as wheels!...

 the competitors

[of unpossible.com] with the car that won overall, even though he had to leave early for a Prince concert...

with a shiny happy car covered in heads -- the only car with corporate sponsorship...

with a car which he repeatedly demonstrated could hold all of his weight, and which was favored to win the demolition contest with its built-in battering ram...

with a prisoner baby driver, clamp holding a severed head, every possible lego post covered, and a removable staircase...

Kathy with her mermaid's clamshell car -- no wheels! -- and detachable sharks; Brendan with his ingenious huge red wedge with pivoting front...

3 years ago today: After the party, He and I went to the city to go to a high-end 3D and video effects user group.

2 years ago today: There is a guy who has pulled into the parking lot by my apartment before blasting his rap music. So today I leaned out the window and told him that I was moving out of my apartment in one month, and I asked him to please not blast his music for one month.

1 year ago today: At some point in the middle of the movie, I noticed that my nose and forehead were tingling. As I thought about it, my breathing got deeper, and I suddenly felt that if I was filled with any more joy I would start glowing in the dark right there in the movie theater.
