4 51 pm Switzerland time zone [ les billets ]

I've just returned from a lovely day in Bern with Matthew's co-worker Dan. I bought gifts for friends, a small silver belt, and a toy car. I would really like to import a Smart Car, so I settled for a toy replica. The Smart Car is designed by Swatch, engineered by Mercedes Benz, and small enough to back into a parellel parking spot (meaning it's length is shorter than a normal car is wide). Matthew has suggested I try to get one liscenced as a motorcycle. He is currently obsessed with trying to import a 5 cylinder Audi S3.

We've confirmed three nights in Vienna, mostly to attend Formula One, which we still hadn't recevied tickets [les billets] for. Then, when I walked into the classroom a few minutes ago, Matthew brough up the following web page. So our tickets have arrived, by visiting more countries than we will on this trip....

[Here are today's photos:]

^ Matthew fell asleep on the table in the lab. Should I admit to the fact that Matthew wasn't teaching yet at this point in time? He makes a lot of stress and manages to wear himself out...

^ You can catch my reflection as I follow Matthew and Dan into the corporate office.

^ I tried to capture a bit of the ambiance in the outdoor corporate spaces.

^ At lunch time, two lab technicians stole down to the display machines to play Quake 3 together; I took a few more office shots.

^ I am here reflected in the glass shielding several million dollars worth of machines in the office...

^ I call this series "Action Matthew".

^ Dan and I left Matthew to teach and headed down town; I was amused my the broom in use to clean the city.

^ We stopped for a drink at a local cafe and I was so enamored with the ancient man who sat at the table with us...
