Race Day[ Formel Eins day 2 ]
^ Race Day we were in the car early and Matthew could not contain his grin when we came to the A1-Ring sign.
^ We were passed by a fleet of seven matching 7 series black BMWs bearing the team logo.
^ The track was a mob scene, with everyone steaking their spot in the sun. We had burned a bit the day before, so we were loaded up with sunscreen.
^ First I tried to map, then Matthew tried to shield himself from the sun. We are both much darker now...
^ We sat viewing a turn where there was a lot of action. We watched passes, attempted passes, and spin offs. Once again. I'll leave Matthew to post the race photos.
^ After the race a kind spectator took our picture.
^ The line to leave was tremendous. First we milled with the foot traffic. Once we reached the car we got to wait even longer. I had tripped and gotten a grass stain on my jeans, so Matthew cleaned the stain with our sparkling mineral water. Then we made our way back to Vienna/Wein.
^ It was a spectacular day, with an exciting race, great weather, and two fans very much in love with each other....
