^ In the morning I asked for "just a few minutes" to work on my paper journal. I laid out all of my ingredients and set about working on catching up. Matthew began a series of experiments with the camera.
^ Somewhere on the drive from Salzburg to Baden Baden, my stuffed horse aquired the name "Piles the disco-man-horse" and he became the subject of much conversation.
^ I hadn't unpacked at all, except for my journal collection...
^ Matthew kept asking me to look up. He was experimenting with low light images...
