After another continental breakfast the three again
made their way to the office. As Dan finished his half-day of teching,
Rachel did her best to calm Matthew, who was about to begin. They walked
to the marché to buy some bottled water and had an early lunch.
Once Matthew began his class, from which Rachel had
been banned, Rachel and Dan headed for Neuchâtel. Dan wanted to buy
several gifts for his wife, and thus began an afternoon of shopping. Late
in the day they sat outside and had drinks, listening to accordian music
and watching the old man who sat at the table with them, sipping tea and
puffing on his pipe. Finally they returned to the office to fetch
Matthew.
