11 07 am pdt [ mellow ]

My mood Sunday night is as foreign to me now as it probably is to you. Now I feel mellow, the mix of excitement and anxiety about the future slowly subsiding.

We are supposed to go drop off a $3600 cashier's check this evening. But my broker is unavailable and there will no doubt be further complications.

Matthew got denied a car loan from his credit union. He found out yesterday while he was working from home, and he was sullen all day. I was bit relieved, since he'll now have an extra $1000 a month to play with. But he was so upset, so I suggested he try lendingtree.com. He called me this morning in a state of euphoric shock. He got accepted on a loan that was 6% less than what he was going to have to pay through his credit union.

I am leaving in a half hour to meet someone in a coffee shop to learn how to play Go. I have a bunch of unfinished projects sitting on my hard drive and I'd like to throw some of them up here as a sort of notebook/progress report. So here's what I've been working on lately:

^ I want my budget to display differently than it does, so I was trying to come up with a better display format.

^ This is my past year's charges on my Discover Card. I was thinking of doing an entry with little annotations to different expenditures.

^ This is the weekend portion of last month's calendar, which I created on yahoo. I made the calendar publicly viewable and I am thinking of incorporating it into my diary.

^ I am considering launching food.reinyday.com with restuarant reviews and recipes. I will probably just become a contributor at yumfood.net instead.

^ We are [hopefully] going to be moving to within walking distance of the lovely shopping area of Piedmont Avenue. I was thinking of mapping all of the stores and restaurants within that two dozen block stretch. I'd try to visit them all (at least all of the restaurnats) and write little reviews and whatnot.

[ 3 years: ]

three years ago today: My third night of dreaming of babies in four days.

two years ago today: Here is a picture I drew of Matthew while on the phone with him. I am in some sort of mood tonight!

one year ago today: I had a perfect day, taking a nap and then going for a bbq with a dozen of my co-workers.

Of all the spam e-mail I have ever received, the message I recently recieved seemed to have the smallest target audience. It claims to be "the dot com with the difference" and is aimed at "Sri Lankans in Sydney."
