Things are scattered, but they are beginning to settle, which is how I feel.

We did our stocking up on basic food items shopping trip today. It took forever and cost more than our furniture. But it was fun. It was another "planning for the future" event that made me happy.

We don't have a microwave, so I cooked our frozen lunches in the oven. Then I realized we hadn't brought over the silverware. Luckily, I had save a plastic eatingware set, so I got out the single fork and ate lunch, then Matthew used it after me.

After his "I must have a Jetta" phase and his "I must have an Integra" phase, Matthew made a deposit on a car today. I talked him out of the expensive headlights that only serve to blind other drivers.

After that, we picked up some free plants and brought over another load of stuff. This cross-town move is so much better than the cross state move.

In the evening, we tried a local eatery and saw Memento -- my second time and Matthew's first.

The place is a bit of a mess, but it is coming together.

We've ordered DSL and I've located local dial-up numbers and labeled them "home" and "home 2" in my settings file. We are considering not getting cable and just renting movies. But the phone and electricity are on. Good things are going to happen here. I can feel it.

three years ago today: I didn't write because I didn't feel like it.

two years ago today: Matthew is going up to Berkeley this weekend, and I wanted to go with him, since this will be my only opportunity to get up there this summer, but it doesn't look like it is going to happen.

one year ago today: "Now that is an outfit!" I exclaimed as she walked by. She had on skin tight leather pants, a leapord pattern corset top, and sparkly lipstick, which (if I wore it) I would no doubt end up licking off my lips and consuming.
