11 20 pm pdt [ bookshelves ]

So we bought one 6' x 6' bookshelf extravaganza. In a fit of motivation, we cleared the furniture in the living room and began construction. I laid down paper and cardboard in hopes of not scratching our new [cheap] furniture.

We laughed a lot as we go sore and tired. The instructions were simple pictures that were easy enough to follow. Just when the end was in sight, we opened the last box.

Nice clean cracks down two of the boards, so we had to wait until tonight to return to IKEA for replacements. The front window in our apartment broke and I had to have the manager navigate the apartment with the partially constructed, six-foot square thing laying there. It was an adventure, as always...

three years ago today: I didn't write because I didn't feel like it.

two years ago today: Max read what I wrote while intoxicated last night, and wasn't pleased. Tough!

one year ago today: I took my sis to work with me today. She has given her official verdict that my job is cool. I love having a fourteen-year-old around. I love feeling young.
