10 46 pm pdt [ the grand tour ]

Tonight we had dinner with Matthew's former roommate Tom. I gave my second tour of our apartment, and was pleased with how settled things are beginning to feel. The first time was Tuesday, 17 July 2001, when I spent a good chunk of the day with my former roommate Desirée. We caught up on the past two years over brunch, and then went wandering in the nearby cemetery. As with today, it was a lovely day.

three years ago today: I suppose I should rename this the not-so-daily diary.

two years ago today: Matthew and I have been enjoying a nerdy day at home -- me working on my thesis, and him working on his symphony stuff. We are sick together side by side, computers networked together, mouse pad with our picture printed on it (courtesy of his mother). This is how it would be if we lived together.

one year ago today: I snapped my eyelids open and registered that I was still far from the wall. I gave a great push and sliced through the water. I smacked my forehead into the ceramic tiles on the wall with some serious velocity.
