11 45 pm pdt [ in town ]

My sister arrived in town today from the summer camp where she was a CIT. She fell asleep in the car and my dad didn't want to wake her, so he left her out there and after a half hour she stumbled in bleary eyed and disoriented.

She said she doesn't want to drive up to my new home with me. I knew she wouldn't, but I am still disappointed. I fear we will never be close. We did go for a walk, and she told me about her 19-year-old boyfriend this summer. My memories of being her age come and go as vague wisps of fog.

three years ago today: I didn't write because I was backpacking with my beau.

two years ago today: It was simply gorgeous, and points to one of the benefits of living in LA.

one year ago today: Lightening sparked again and again at less than three second intervals. We watched in awe at the beauty of this planet we inhabit.
