10 43 pm pst [ gathering IV ]

Let's just begin by mentioning that I am going to forget someone. The person whom I forget is clearly the one I like the best, and though was cool enough to handle me forgetting them on purpose. Ok.

Jan
Mossyrocks News
Jan didn't read, but don't think her presence wasn't felt. Jan, thanks for coming to hang with us during such a stressful time!

  Susan
sugarspun.net/monster
Susan has a stunning smile and won my heart by making the most delicious Vietnamese Summer Rolls. I think I ate a dozen of them and then forced her into agreeing to send me the recipe. Mmmmmmm.

Bev
funnytheworld.com
Bev is one of many people that I didn't get a chance to talk to one on one, but I really enjoyed meeting her and loved hearing her read her entry. I was so impressed.

  Secra
secraterri.com
As I mentioned yesterday, I was very moved by Secra's reading. I am looking forward to getting to know her more.

David
Secra's hubbie
The man is funny! I was impressed that he braved the group to read, and what he read was simply wonderful.

  Jane
quirky.com/seejane
Jane drove with us and came home with us to chat for hours after the gathering. I feel so close to her right now.

Jennifer
fullmoon.diaryland.com
The accent, the humor, the smile... What's not to like? Yet another person I wish I had chatted with. It's my fault for hanging out on one side of the room.

  Travis
blackmere.com
I met Travis at the last journal gathering I attended and was struck both times by how much of his identity is involved in being a dad. I know [hope!] I will be that kind of parent.

Jolene
cremerinseandtobaccosmoke
I've worshipped Jolene since we planned the first journal gathering I attended together. I am so glad to have her as a friend.

  Jess
Jolene's baby
Jolene has one of those scary babies that is happy all the time and loves everyone. I'm waiting for Jolene to tell me how to get one of my own. I always have to play with Jess when I see her and I had a great time holding her while she ate. She even offered me some grapes she had licked several times. What a pal!

Jake
Jolene's hubby
Clearly skilled in the art of avoiding photographs... Either he's not talkative or I'm just not good at striking up a conversation with him.

  Karen
thought experiment
I adore Karen and it was really good to see her even though she didn't get a chance to stay the whole time...

Lunesse
lunesse.com
Luny and I go way back now, and every chance I get to see her is a total treat! Everyone loved getting to watch her describe the plot of the novel she's working on.

  Trish
koroshiya.com/380280
Trish has become "my friend" to the diarists have met her through me, which is really funny because i met her through Lunesse whom I met through Charles. She's just plain fun.

David
Trish's buddy
Anyone who is willing to accompany a friend to gatherings of strange people who delight in writing online is super cool in my book. He did manage to avoid reading anything.

  Sunshyn
sunshyn.net
You didn't believe it, but here's your proof: Sunshyn drinking her pre-meal apple cider vinegar. You saw it here first! Sunshyn is so full of light and life that just being in the same room with her let's you understand her name. She showed my her swanky back support trick which I am going to have to try!

Matthew
my beau
My sweet darling was actually brave enough to read one of his seven guest entries. He delights me to no end.

  me
reinyday.com
I don't know how this picture of me wound up on my camera, but here it is. I read my first entry from the 9th.

The Hag
bitterhag.com
I've saved the best for last. Yes, this is the Hag with her golf clubs. We have a date to play (I have to be taught how!). She was a wonderful hostess. The two of us always have a blast together and I think I've convinced her that we are going out dancing some night soon. Oh, she'll be breaking hearts then...

And then there was the Tot. I managed to get a picture of Karen while her hands were full with two babies. What a mom!
