Let's not mince words. This is not an attractive food.
 

 
But it was sure yummy. My two very ripe plantains turned into enormous puffs as I baked them before work today. When I opened the over I said out loud, "That's the coolest thing I've ever seen seen!" and went to fetch the camera. While they may not have been the coolest, their billowy shape delighted me even as I finished eating them.
 

 
At work, the children got in trouble for drawing guns and "shooting" each other with them. We had to have a long discussion involving why guns are bad. These sorts of things are always most important to whomever started them, but locating that child is most difficult...
 

 
I think I'm going to find a new job after new year's, because my paycheck just isn't cutting it...
