11 15 pm pst [ if... ]
If I had known, things would have been different. If I
had know that Sam hadn't paid
his cell phone bill, had moved but not told me, and was not checking his
e-mail (even though I told him I would try to be in town that weekend),
then things would have been different. If I had known Matthew would be
working until 3 am both nights we were there, I would have picked a time
to meet Forrest Preece that would have worked with our strange
schedule and his busy schedule. If I had planned better, I would have
double checked which city Mark is in. I could have tried to meet some
Austin journallers or picked some touristy sight-seeing stuff to do.
But I didn't know... And things didn't work out. I saw two movies and
ate some decent food, but completely missed getting to see downtown
Austin, or go dancing, or meet and interesting Austinites. I suppose I'll
save it all for next trip.
In unrelated news, my paternal family tree has grown to 733 people after
another hour-long conversation with a distant cousin.
