3 13 pst   [ official answer readers' questions week ]

Do you have a time-table for your life that you've set for yourself or do you plan as you go along? What is the desire that you most wish for yourself?

The latter question is the easiest. I most wish to have children.

I don't have a time-table per se. I do think about the future, but I also recognize that the best laid plans tend to fail, as the cliché goes. I'd like to buy a house and make babies. I think about going back to school or working on a "career" but having kids sort of interferes with that.

Do you consider yourself career-driven? What is your ideal career/profession?

No, I am not career-driven. Wanting children has always put a large hole in my career-related plans. I have a lot of interests and could keep myself fully occupied if I were to "retire" today. If I knew what my ideal career/profession was, I would be persuing it, but as I said, I have a lot of interests.

One more week until classes begin again. One more lazy week of lounging.

As usual, I didn't get to do even half of what I wanted to, but I look forward to my graduation in May as a sort of freeing of obligations.

I told my mom about my simple resolutions and she shared with me her beautifully enumerated list.
