11 03 pm pst   [ alone ]

It's 11 pm and my boyfriend has just left work for his hour commute home. Nights like tonight remind me of how much time I spend alone, even though I live with someone.

There was no school Monday or Tuesday, so I worked full shifts (10 - 6 30 & 9 - 6 30). It was a lot of work, but it was also fun. We took the children to the park for lunch both days. I have a vivid memory of grass so green it hurts your eyes, warn sun on my hair, children standing on the hill, throwing themselves at the ground and rolling as far as they could. I tossed my head back and laughed, saving the mental snapshop for as long as possible.

For the rest of the week, including today, we have to run our program outside, because of the science fair. It is more work, but any change in the routine is fun.

My drive home today was greeted by a sunset turning everything and unreal shade orange and pink. Rose colored glasses indeed! I love where I live.
