11 27 pm pst   [ him ]

I live with Matthew, my boyfriend of 4.5 years. This month's collab for On Display is to "describe someone you love." This may take me a week.

Matthew is 6 foot 2, about 210 pounds, broad shouldered, half black and half white. He has large eyes and lips. He has small ears and nose. He has flawless skin. He keeps his head shaven. He keeps his face shaven, which is my preference. He is always nicely dressed.

Matthew's dominant personality traits are that he is intelligent, polite, considerate, kind, and loyal. He is always appropriate and he doesn't talk much. Because he thinks about being appropriate, he worries a lot. He sometimes makes himself sick with stress.

The touch of my hand on his neck or cheek will immediately relax him. He falls asleep easily and likes to sleep twice as long as normal people. He snores.

Matthew is squeemish. He doesn't like violence. He doesn't even like violence in movies even though he knows it is fake.

I think he will make a wonderful father. He is patient. He learns to love flaws. He likes to teach. He likes understanding how other people see the world.

Matthew likes skiing, cars, visual effects, and me. He likes magazines and the internet. He loves his DVD player, surround sound system, and his tool kit. He is very artistic and would like to design our home some day. He is an exquisit driver. He likes all kinds of music. He is tired most of the time. He loathes exercise.

Matthew loves to cuddle. He loves to fall asleep in my lap on the couch. He hates to wake up and find that I've left the room. Matthew likes to do my laundry for me because he knows I hate to do it myself.

Matthew finds humor in all the silly things I do. I used to pretend to help when he made the bed, but now we've given up that false front and we refer to the activity as making me in the bed. As soon as the bottom sheet goes down, I crawl on top and splay out in my best attampt to take up the entirety of the queen size bed. Then Matthew has to make the rest of the bed with me in it, wearing my delighted getting-made-in-the-bed smile. I love when he tucks me in.

I'd go on if it weren't past my bedtime. Perhaps to be continued tomorrow...

I was online at seven this morning but I wrote what I believe to be a good article and now I can relax.

The twenty pages I was hoping to complete of my honors thesis didn't quite make it, but I am getting into it.

Let me just say that I though I would score much higher (more slutty) than I did.
