Matthew has fallen fast asleep on the couch without having much of a dinner. Today they had their sixth (!) round of lay-offs at work. He survived with a promotion and a small raise. His boss, who I think was good for Matthew, is no longer Matthew's boss. They are now co-workers underneath a new boss. Strange.

I had a feeling that everything would work out. But it still felt good to hear it from him.
