10 30 pm pdt   [ hijinks and hilarity ]

Matthew and I are discussing porn. Or rather, we were, but now he's sitting next to me on the couch watching me type. I am unhappy that I didn't manage to exercise today. I am very unhappy that my grandfather has gone back into the hospital. I am unhappy that it is taking me forever to edit Sleep/Awake.

On the other hand, I am happy that the middle schoolers at work have stopped regarding me as annoying strict adult and have started regarding me as cool young person that they enjoy gossiping with. My supervisor and I are probably going to institute a weekly bar night. And I did something funny. I called my friend to ask if she wanted to grab an after work drink, but I was trying to be swanky and say it in French because she's fluent. But I'm pretty sure I messed up and invited her for a before work drink, which really amused Matthew when I told him.

Earlier I was playing with my stuffed animals and Matthew said, "That would make a cute picture," and got out the camera and started snapping away.

awww, cute!

Only it soon became readily apparent that he wasn't just taking pictures of the animals, but also of me. The camera just magically drifted up.

grrrrr, cheater!

Then Matthew positioned Wilfredo on my laptop and I posed (or rather, we posed together).

Wilfredo, shocking!

Then I switched to a web page showing Wilfredo and he and I posed again.

Wilfredo, shocking!

I got annoyed with Matthew taking pictures of me, so I covered my face with my sweatshirt and didn't realized that he had switched from photographing to filming me. The movie is amusing because my face gets very scrunchy at the end when I smile and you can hear me snickering. After that, I was reading him a dictionary definition (yes, we have that kind of relationship) when he started filming again. I kept moving my laptop to hide my face, but I was laughing so hard I couldn't talk and Matthew was laughing so hard that the camera kept shaking. I still thought he was filming for a long time after the camera stopped so you'll have to imagine how we carried on. I know when we're 80, this video will still make us laugh. Each movie is 1.3 megs.

The last day of classes in my undergraduate career came and went without notice and now I am on to finishing up a few projects (including the dreaded thesis) and preparing for graduation, which is in less than a week.

Only I would propose going to Chevys and not realize it was Cinco de Mayo.

The plane's landing was bumpy, and Rachel felt mounting waves of nausea assault her.
