My lovely boyfriend got home from work about ten minutes ago. He just instructed me to tell him a funny story about the kids today.

There's one junior kindergartener who has a problem with wetting his pants. So I often gently remind him to go to the bathroom.

Also, several of the younger kids grab their crotches, which I take to be a general bathroom sign. If I spot grabbing, I always ask if they need to go. [Sometimes they respond to tell me that they are just itchy, or -- even better -- scratchy.]

Today the wetter was there with his best friend. The best friend was doing the old grab, so I asked if he would be willing to do me a favor and go to the bathroom and see if anything comes out. Then I suggested that the wetter go with, for good measure. He protested, "But I haven't even touched myself!"

The best part of this story is that the kids were in their PJs. It now occurs to me that this happened yesterday, because yesterday was pajama day. The kids looked so cute:
