1 39 pm pdt   [ hi ho, hi ho, it's off to work I go ]

Things I need to do before going to work:

  • format and upload the last two entries and their respective photos

  • change

  • eat lunch

  • return a movie

  • finish up the last two loads of laundry

Only some of these activities are going to get done. And, of course, I'm not going to have any time to edit...

I need to find a new job, because the school year ends soon. I sent out some résumés yesterday, but will have to get into serious job hunting soon.

It looks as though Matthew's business trip to New York is going to be postponed another week. I still want to go with him when he goes. I jump at any excuse to travel.

Today is "Western Day" as part of "Spirit Week" at school. I will be wearing my Halloween costume with my shirt not tied up and with pants instead of shorts.

P.S. I've made tons of updates to my sweet 100s lists.

8 48 pm pdt   [ jingle jange ]

Picture me in the nest and Matthew on the other side of the couch; jinge jangle, jingle jange.

We are each intent on "removing the shuttle" from one of three Tavern Puzzles from BrainPuzzles.com. All three are of the "very difficult" category and will probably occupy me for weeks. Matthew will probably solve them all by the end of the night. Someday, when I have the home of my dreams, I will have a shelf in the living room with all my logic puzzles so that I can torture my guests with them.

Each puzzle came with it's own little sack -- a puzzle home of sorts -- and they make the most delightful tinkling noise when tinkered with. Thankfully,t hey don't come with solution instructions, there can be no temptation to cheat. I will have to get all of the "very difficult" puzzles some day.

It's going to be a long night...

9 33 pm pdt   [ update ]

Matthew has successfully solved Double Trouble. I have successfully played with and failed to solve all three puzzles.

I have moved on to the equally perplexing problem of trying to figure out why I am so broke right now. [I'm updating Quicken with all of my recent purchases.]

car

Matthew took it apart, but is now upset he can't get it back together...
