2 40 pm pdt   [ yikes ]

If you don't hear from me for a while, it will be because my computer has died. My beautiful, wonderful laptop that I use for many hours every day decided to bite the dust today. First the monitor looked like this:

Friday

Then this:

Friday

Then this:

Friday

I was able to move the screen to a point where I can again use it, but now that the connection is dying, it's only a matter of time.

I am pretty bummed, because I really can't afford a new machine right now, so I'm going to have to tone back my time online and maybe just share Matthew's computer with him until I get a new high paying job. What is it with my computers dying in May? Anyway, hopefully, this will be the worst thing that happens this summer, and I can stop saying that 2002 is a bad year.

11 49 pm pdt   [ tomorrow is Monday? ]

We just got home from a lovely "house cooling" party, and just for the purposes of documenting it, I've been having really bad dizzy spells this weekend. I was pretty much dizzy all day today.

I've discovered that my computer will function if I open it to less than a ninety-degree angle (I know, not entirely practicle, but I'll live), so much as I want one of the new titanium G4's, I don't have to have one. And now I can get to the fun part -- describing last night's cooking game night adventure.

Oh wait, one more documenting thing first. I had a very gross nightmare last night which I have relegated to a pop-up window to spare those who are not interested. If you want to read about it, click here. [Fuck, fuck, fuck. The monitor is going haywire and now I don't have an easy solution. Sweet, nice computer, please don't die. I love you!]
