11 44 pm pdt [ leaving tomorrow ]
When I called my mother today, she was in the car with
her ex-husband -- my father -- and her new husband as of April. When I
got off the phone, I once again declared that I have the strangest family
in the world.
But she will be my travel partner on our upcoming
journey to London to visit my brother. I am sure the adventure will be
quite grand.
Tonight Matthew began missing me before I was gone. He
made me a
present. I watched him code on the couch as I made us a monstrous
salad flavored with green onions and young garlic shoots. What a
magnificent man to be in love with...
