I can tell this is going to be a very long week. I
have to get my routine down, at least in terms of lunch. I took leftovers
with me yesterday but I don't know what I'm going to do today. Adjusting
is always an experience.
Matthew worked from home yesterday and I feel like I
totally missed out since I left before he was awake and wasn't even able
to sneak home from lunch. I will in a few weeks when my [unpaid] lunch
break jusmps from two to three hours.
Now it's time for breakfast and the slow move to get
myself out the door...
9 56 pm pst [ short ]
In my ideal diary universe, I would start an entry each
morning by saying what I'm going to work on for the day, such as being
calm or thinking before I speak. During the day I'd make some sort of
collage or something and scan it. In the evening I'd write down funny
things that the kids said.
One today showed me how low she could limbo. A boy
said he wanted to tell me something and pulled me into a private space.
Once there, he told me that one day he was going to bring in the movie
Godzilla and that it was scary but not too scary. Three of the girls made
me the cutes card with hearts and whatnot. It said that they, "liked me a
lot." I told Matthew that if I ever come home from work in a bad mood, he
is to instruct me to go read that letter again (I've hung it on the
fridge for just such a purpose).

This is me, as drawn by a second grader.

today: I did find a 1952 wedding dress with the veil, which was
absolutely fabulous, but was too small on me.
