I accepted an offer to a seminar program today. It was great that I was selected from amongst the applicants, and the year of classes should be great. I will get a nice stipend once the course is over, but they stipulate that I must commit to working at the same site next year. So now I am agreeing to work at this school that I probably would leave if it weren't for this extra cash (which I really want, because I didn't put away anything last year and I won't be able to this year, but I can sink the stipend into my IRA for retirement).

One of the afternoon kids had a huge fit today and I thought he was going to try to hop the fence and take off. My boss said he wouldn't be able to and I just looked at her like she was stoned. Any athletic second grader can easily scale even an eight-foot fence. There's no use in underestimating kids.
