I babysat for two different families today, and both
were fun and exhausting. The first was a girl from my class and her older
brother. She told me that, "Drains make people fall in them." It was a
glorious day and we walked to a park near their house and had a great
time.
The second was a boy in my class. When I rang the bell
he opened the door and screamed, "It's really you! It's really you!" and
jumped up and down with joy for five minutes straight. I will never ever
forget that sight. We had a great time. He told me that his favorite
song was "Feel Like a Woman" and I was think it was really strange if his
favorite song was "You Make Me
Feel Like a Natural Woman" by Aretha. But it was stranger. At three
years old he can go fetch a CD from the drawer, bring it to the CD player
in his room and play the music. She he put on his favorite song: "Man! I Feel Like a Woman!" by Shania Twain. When the
song starts she says, "Common Girls!" My little student looked at me and
said, "They say that because they think I'm a girl." I could hardly
contain myself.
I got home very late (my second job was 6.5 hours) and
was exhausted but excited to tell Matthew all my stories when I noticed a
package on the couch. I seriously worship my wishlist! Clive, thank you so much for the movies! I am so
excited!!! I too am jumping up and down with joy.
