Last night dreamt about a bad smell -- like exhaust fumes. I don't think I've ever dreamt about a smell before.

Yesterday's "Class Day" speaches and performances were wonderful, and a marked conrast to today's awful graduation. It was pouring, but Yale had apparently not come up with any useful solution -- a huge tent, moving it to the gym, etc. After standing in the rain for an hour with my 88-year-old grandfather, we headed into Adam's dorm and watched the ceremony on TV. It was certainly a memorable event.
