Below are more details on the plane crash, and information on how we can help. This is an e-mail I received from the director:

Subject: Fairfax District Fundraiser

I am writing to you about the Fairfax District Plane Crash that occurred this past Friday, June 6th. Friends, Andrea and Casey Cunningham, lived in that building and unfortunately Casey was in the building when the plane hit. The good thing is that he survived but he does have to undergo skin grafting surgery. He suffered third degree burns to his arms, hands and part of his body. Their apartment was completely destroyed killing their two cats and leaving them with literally nothing. Andrea is a member of the Bang Improv group on Fairfax and this group has started a relief fund for this couple as a way to help them get back on their feet. They have no insurance and a baby on the way. So, any help that can be provided would be greatly appreciated.

This Thursday Bang Improv is conducting a special performance to raise funds for Casey and Andrea. There is a $20 minimum and reservations are required because this is a smaller space. Bang is also accepting donations on behalf of the couple. Checks can be made out directly to Andrea Cunningham. Non monetary donations are also being accepted. Remember, they lost everything and they have a baby to prepare for. The address where donations can be sent or dropped off is:

Bang Improv Theatre

457 N. Fairfax Ave.

Hollywood, CA 90036

(323) 653-6886

All information for the fundraiser can be found on the Bang website. You may have gotten an e-mail from Andrea herself this morning. In case you didn't, here it is:

Andrea wrote 6/9/03:   I am not sure how to begin this email.  Most of you already know that there was an accident this past Friday at our apartment building. A six seat beechcraft airplane crashed into our apartment building, nosediving into the apartment across the narrow hallway from us and exploding into our apartment. I was luckily at work, Casey was at home watching tv.  He was blessed to have gotten out alive, he truly feels that way. He is currently at the Grossman Burn Center in Sherman Oaks, CA and is receiving the best care possible.  Casey will be in the hospital for at least two weeks, and will have a long road to recovery.   If you haven't seen news footage yet, turn on CNN or MSNBC or the internet and it is there. We lost everything, the entire apartment and its contents and most painfully we lost our two amazing cats. People have been so wonderful, supportive and loving through all of this. If you wish to help, please go to the bang website as they are coordinating any relief efforts. Bang is the theater where I have been priveledged to perform for the last two years and they are moving mountains, along with countless others.  www.bangstudio.com   Casey and I just wanted to thank everyone for their kinds thoughts and prayers.  Your love is felt near and far, and we will need it for a long time to come. For those of you who are just finding out about the aiplane crash I am so sorry that you are finding out this way, there just isn't enough time in the day for me to call everyone personally. We love you so much and know that you are pulling for us, Casey especially.   All our love,   Andrea, Casey and baby in waiting
