So here we are.
I haven't written in ages, so this entry will have to be a sort of "state of affairs" entry.
I am getting married in two months and three days. I don't have a dress. We don't have a DJ, photographer, cake, etc. I haven't thought about make-up or the various additional outfits I am expected to wear that weekend (rehearsal dinner; do I want to change for the reception?).
I have hand addressed and stamped 91 envelopes (so far), but we haven't finished designing and printing our invitations and RSVP postcards. I have ordered the containers for favors, but not most of the contents. I have registered.
I'm not too worried. We'll pull it off. If would have been nice to have a lot more time to plan everything to perfection, but this will work. I am excited to marry Matthew and I hope we will have a child next year.
I took an acting class this summer. It was an interesting way to learn more about myself and about human interactions.
My school year begins in two weeks. I will be with the same team as last year, and I know that will be awesome!
I have spent a lot of the summer working on genealogy. I still love it very much. It is my number one passion. I have decided that my favorite thing to do is play games and solve puzzles. My family tree is a big puzzle.
I am trying to teach myself php and mySQL. I made a database and have forms for my friends to input information. I'm sort of stuck at the point where I need to make a new table for comments, while allowing for a future rating system and for logins.
I am also teaching myself CSS. This is my first entry using CSS, besides the code I added years ago to prevent links from being underlined. Now they have a dotted underline. I expect to play a lot. Eventually entries will be in strict XHTML.
I deeply regret not having kept this diary up. I have snippets of entries and images on my hard drive, but I don't know when I'll get to them.
I would like to committ to making an entry a day. I would like this diary to be about process, not product. I need to get a system for offloading and uploading digital pictures. I need to scan pages if I make a scrapbook-style entry. I would consider selling complete months of entries on ebay. I would like to have voice entries. I would like to experiment. I am compelled to create...
