I am really fascinated with the way in which people construct their identity in relation to the internet (and to technology in general).
Tie this "identity" concept in with my obsession with documenting and you have neatly explained many of my particular interests.
When I speak of constructing your identity, I don't mean that you lie, though you could. I mean my interest rests in what you choose to share. How do you convey yourself? What aspects of self do you emphasize? I was always interested that in the entirely text-based world of MOOs, gender is so heavily emphasized (this is a function of our language; it's rude to call someone "it").
I was delighted, recently, to learn about and join BookCrossing (for tracking free[d] books) and Bandycams (for tracking disposable cameras).
