Rachel's Daily Diary

11 59 pm pdt

I had a bit of a breakthough in my family tree tonight. It is commonly believed that if you can figure out what city in Europe your family is from (if it is), then you can usually add about four generations to your tree. I got two, which was much more that I'd dared to hope for.

Last week I found the last of my 16 great-great-grandparents. Tonight, I found each of their parents and grandparents. Interestingly, it looks like some cousins might have married, since the same last name keeps popping up. But I'll have to poke around a little more before I can verify that. Or, I might never be able to determine it. That's the way these things go. Anyway, this is what is keeping me up well past my bedtime.

And on a school night no less!

I can't help that it fascinates me so...
