Last year we had 21 four-year-olds in one room. This year, thankfully, we have 17. And they all seem wonderful. They clean up better than our previous kids did at the end of last year.

The most striking initial observation is that the class is very gender divided, with the boys doing one thing and the girls doing another. This rarely happens so uniformly with kids this young, but most of these kids have been in a class together before, so I guess they just know who their friends are and what they like.

I am very excited to have embarked on a new year with great kids, great parents, and a great new boss. Woo hoo!
