_________________ Very unromantically, I wnt to the doctor's yesterday. I've switched to Matthew's health insurance (Aetna instead of the dreaded Kaiser), so I wanted to get a physical and meet a doctor so I would have someone to call if I was sick. I got my blood tests done for the first time in about a decade. I had told Matthew that I wanted him to take the money he would have spent on a gift and save it for our future house purchase. He said he would think about it. I had told him I was taking him out for comedy at Rooster T Feathers and that he should pick where he wanted to eat. When I got home, the furniture had been rearranged and the dining room table was in the middle of the living room, set with two place settings, and there were candles lit everywhere. There were good smells wafting from the kitchen and Matthew asked if I wanted to start with the soup or salad. So we ate a wonderful, romantic meal of salad (with sliced tomatos fanned across the top in a beautiful presentation), lentil soup, and broccoli stir-fry. It was great and gave us plenty of time to get to the club. The show was fun and Matthew laughed really hard, which I loved. After that we headed home for some cuddle time. | ||
