Tuesday | 07 December 99 | adventure walk supplement
I headed in the direction of Hill Road, and recalled the gentlemen I had talked to on the porch of their round house on the fourth of July [only just now I can't remember if that was when it was].
In the evening there are always several people parked up here for the fantiastic view, but with the sun bearing down, I had the Bay to myself.
Autumn was in the air. The shadows stretched long and the leaves were crisp like the gentle chill.
On my walk I found... ...purples and oranges...
...verticals and horizontals...
...straights and twists...
When I took the first cat image (the upper left one), I envisioned a caption of The beast barred my way. Then I had to investigate the hole he was diligently watching (and presumably, which had caused the big brown stain on his lip. We watched the hole together for a while, and then I left the beast to his devices.
Matthew lives by Tilden park in the Berkeley hills.
I returned to the road to learn that I had been in a forbidden zone.
The tree stumps looked like grave stones...
My walk was a glorious adventure...
My favorite image was the mushrooms that were growing in such a way as to look like they were spilling out of the tree stump:
